Explosiveness is key in basketball. During Hops and Hoops on March 31st, Coaches Dean & Pat and our new Performance Training Coach Tom will be introducing plyometric drills to increase jumping ability. Plyometric techniques teach muscles to produce maximum force in a minimum amount of time by training the stretch reflex of the muscles being used. Emphasizing form will dramatically increase your ability to jump higher – eventually. By no means can you attain this in one hour, but CAL will give you the drills to practice every day. Combining form with strength will have you on your way to leaping over the competition.
We’ll follow up with a series of basketball skill development drills. We’ll finish with a series of strategy-focused scrimmages that will enhance each players’ situational awareness and confidence in their decision making on the court.
Hops and Hoops will be a fun and challenging 3 hours of instruction and play, with plenty of take-aways to improve your overall game!
