CAL Sports recently held its annual AAU Basketball Awards banquet for the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade teams.  We had dinner while the slide show of the season played in the background followed by awards and a little bit of dancing……more like a dance off!

All the players received plaques with a picture of them in action along with a tee shirt to commemorate the regular season. Special awards for each team we’re also given in the categories of Most Improved, Sportsmanship, Defensive Player, and MVP. Our 7th and 8th grade teams who got to play at Nationals were also recognized during the evening.

CAL Sports makes it a point to have an end of season banquet for both the AAU Basketball and Club Volleyball travel teams to promote the sense of community that makes our organization unique and fun. It gives the players and families one last chance to get together after traveling as a unit all season and reflect on the good (and sometimes hard) times they had.
