CAL Sports Academy is taking steps to provide more exposure for athletes who are ready to take their game to the next level. Skill development is already at the top of our list when it comes to our athletes, but now we want to help them take what they’ve learned and showcase their talents.
There are a few misconceptions when it comes to playing at the collegiate level such as “if you’re good enough to play in college, than college coaches will find you” or “grades don’t matter if you’re a really good player” both of which are not true. Whether you want to play in college or not our CAL travel team program is determined to get you the exposure you need to be seen by a variety of different college programs in Divisions I, II, and III.
This season our high school teams will be going to numerous exposure tournaments where they will have the opportunity to play in front college coaches. Players from our 10th grade AAU team recently attended a scouting camp at Montclair State University. These are just a few things that CAL Sports Academy is doing to help our college bound athletes reach their goals of playing at the next level.
Another important aspect of helping athletes gain exposure through AAU is traveling outside of the local areas. CAL Sports Academy participates in tournaments in several different states throughout the year such as Delaware, Maryland, and various parts of Pennsylvania. This helps athletes expand their choices when it comes time to choose a school.
CAL Sports Academy makes it a priority to ensure that each athlete is gaining the skill development they need to reach their goals as well as getting them the exposure to showcase those skills. We are making all the right moves to help athletes get to where they need to be as they move forward into their college careers. This plan also gives younger players something to strive for as they progress through our class curriculum and Team Cobra Travel AAU teams.
