Letter from Parent

Letter from Parent:

Dear Coach Corey, I want to thank you for all your patience, time, work and humor that you shared with all of the kids at the recent youth basketball season at the Central Schwenkfelder Community Center. I looked forward to going to watch my granddaughter’s practices and games not only because she’s my granddaughter but also because of the atmosphere you created for all the kids. I loved watching your interactions with all of them.

While I have had the privilege of coming across many great coaches throughout my many years or either playing (way back in the dark ages), watching my own kids.

nieces/nephews and now my grandkids and grandnieces/nephews playing sports, I was never more impressed with how you were with all the kids, What was probably their first or second experience participating in an organized team sport/activity. I’m sure many Of them were nervous and/or afraid. However, because you surrounded yourself with an amazing team of coaches who very easily could have lost patience With the kids and their challenging attempts to focus, listen, do the drills and play the game) smiled and encouraged all the kids (even picking them up to make baskets) and gave the kids who they saw were a little nervous or struggling more than some of the others an extra little boost of encouragement. You and your team gave them the first step of a positive foundation in organized team sports/activities that Will allow them to continue to grow and nourish in whatever activity they do forward.

Again, I want to thank you and your assistant coaches for making her first introduction to basketball very enjoyable.
