Academics During a Pandemic

As a parent, have you been struggling to balance work & your child’s school and sports?

I realize that as a parent, you are busy working throughout the day and find it hard to focus on responsibilities with work or homelife tasks with children learning remotely and needing your attention. That’s why I developed this program to help both children and parents during a time when a remote learning plan has become a norm during the pandemic.

CAL Academics has hired Pennsylvania licensed teachers that specialize in English, Math, History, and Science to be available to provide tutoring for your child and to assist with their virtual school learning process. Academics is a priority to me and my coaches at CAL Sports. As a father, I can understand how a virtual school education can bring many challenges to family dynamics. My goal is to make things easier for your family during these unprecedented times. CAL Academics can help you and your athlete meet all sports and academic needs simultaneously in one location!

Extended pick-up & drop-off times for your convenience

There are extended pick-up and drop-off times to accommodate your work schedule. Once your child arrives at CAL Academic Academy their remote learning will be completed first, then sports activities are provided until they depart.

WorkSheet to track grades & assignments

I developed a program where your child will receive an “Accountability Work Sheet” at the beginning of each week to track their grades and assignments. Most of the day is scheduled to focus on school. Once your child’s daily goals and remote learning requirements have been met, they can celebrate their day’s academic achievements by participating in a sports program.

1:1 ATTENTION FOR LEARNING

Students will be able to receive the one-on-one attention with teachers that virtual school cannot offer. If your child happens to fall behind in their schoolwork or grades, more time will be required for them to focus on strengthening any academic difficulties before being allowed to play sports. I have anticipated these needs by hiring qualified teachers for tutoring.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS DURING A PANDEMIC

Your child’s safety is #1. Social distancing is provided during the learning process by providing each child with their own six-foot workspace table. In addition, other safety precautions have been initiated such as daily check-in forms, temperature checks, and constant cleaning. These safety measures will be in-place throughout the day to ensure the maximum amount of safety precautions are provided.

COMBINE LEARNING & SPORTS

Only 1 place to drop-off & pick-up!

By bringing your child to CAL Academic Academy, you will only need to drive to one place to drop-off your child for the whole day to meet both academic and sport needs! This will make life a little bit easier for you and your family. At the same time, it will provide your child with a fun atmosphere to combine daily remote school learning, tutoring, and sports programming in one location.
