7-9th Grade In-House Basketball League

Sharpen your skills and build confidence

Our In-House 7-9th Grade League is a great league for intermediate-advanced athletes who have basketball experience but are looking to develop their knowledge of the game through competitive play! Athletes will participate in a 9-week session that will consist of Week 1 Skills Evaluations, Week 2 Team Practice, Week 3-7 Practices (Fridays) and Regular Season Games (Saturdays), and Weeks 8-9 Playoffs and Championship Games. The Skills Evaluation on Week 1 will be used to assess the athletes’ knowledge and execution of various game fundamentals and concepts, resulting in team placement. View League Rules

Team Shirts

Athletes will receive a team shirt that they will be required to wear each week! Failure to wear your team shirt will result in a technical foul awarded to the opposing team. Be sure to enter the correct shirt size on your athlete’s registration. If your shirt is lost, damaged, or the wrong size is ordered, the cost is $35 to order a replacement. Athletes are permitted to wear any color short/pant and must be wearing sneakers.

Volunteers

In order to help the League run smoothly and allow CAL Coaches to give their undivided attention to the athletes during games, we are asking for parent volunteers to assist with scorekeeping each week. If you are interested in assisting, be sure to answer YES on your registration form field under Available to Volunteer or, email office@calsportsacademy.com!

SPRING SEASON

REGISTRATION OPEN

Dates: March 29th through June 7th (No League Easter or Memorial Day Weekend)

All Practices and Games are Saturday Mornings/Afternoons

Evaluations are Saturday, March 29th, 3-4:30 PM

REQUIRED – All athletes must attend Week 1’s evaluation session in order to participate in the League. Failure to attend will result in your athlete’s removal from the league. If you know your athlete is unable to attend due to circumstances, you must notify office@calsportsacademy.com ASAP and coordinate a make-up evaluation which will be required to take place BEFORE season eval date!
