A Dad’s Tribute to His Son

At CAL Sports Academy, it is not always about fun and sports, it is also about family! As I share my proud dad moment with you, it humbles me even further to see the results of living what you preach, through God, love, family, support, hard work, and dedication. With tears in my eyes, this one is for you Cordell.

My proud dad moment…

Congratulations, Cordell, on becoming the new Head Basketball Coach at North Penn High School!

As your proud dad, I have witnessed the relentless dedication and hard work you have poured into basketball from the beginning. Every milestone you have reached reflects your commitment and perseverance, and I know the journey has not been without its challenges. But remember, anything worth pursuing comes with its share of burdens, and it is those very challenges that shape our character and define our success.

God has placed this incredible opportunity in your hands because of the purpose He has for your life. Now, you have the chance to profoundly impact the lives of the young men you will lead. Leadership is not easy; there will be moments of solitude and doubt but keep your faith strong and trust the journey that has brought you here.

Stay connected to those who have supported you along the way, your family, mentors, former coaches, teachers, and teammates. Share your ideas with your mentors, and never hesitate to ask for help; they have walked similar paths, and seeking guidance is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Never stop being grateful. This journey is about more than just wins and losses; it is about guiding others’ dreams, and in doing so, you will find that your own dreams are fulfilled. When the road gets tough, always turn to God for guidance.

Your mom, brother, sister, family, and our entire community of supporters stand firmly behind you. Remember, everyone will have their opinions on how and what you should do, but you must trust in God’s plan for your life, your experience, and your education. Be patient, for victory requires time, resilience, and perseverance.

Embrace this opportunity with grace and pride. Walk with confidence and continue to make us all proud by leaving a lasting impact on this incredible community brimming with talent.

Congratulations, son. I love you, buddy. Now go, change lives, and make a difference.
Don’t stop dreaming
