Our in-house Grades 4th–5th Girls Only Basketball League is designed for intermediate to advanced athletes who already have basketball experience and are ready to take their game to the next level. This league offers a competitive yet supportive environment where players can sharpen their skills, deepen their understanding of the game, and grow as teammates.

🗓️ 9-Week Season Breakdown
Over the course of nine action-packed weeks, athletes will participate in a structured schedule that includes skill development, team practices, and exciting game play. The breakdown is as follows:

• Week 1: Skills Evaluation

Players are assessed on key basketball fundamentals and game concepts. These evaluations help us create balanced teams for a competitive and fun season.

• Week 2: Team Practice

Athletes meet their teammates and coaches, begin building chemistry, and prepare for the season ahead.

• Weeks 3–7: Practices & Regular Season Games
  • Fridays: Team practices focused on strategy, teamwork, and skill refinement
  • Saturdays: Regular season games where players put their training into action
• Weeks 8–9: Playoffs & Championship

The season wraps up with high-energy playoff matchups and a thrilling championship game to crown the league champions!

🗓️ Evaluations:

• Dates for Week 1 evaluations are TBA (To Be Announced).

✅ Mandatory Attendance:

• All registered athletes must attend the Week 1 evaluation session to remain eligible for the league.
• Failure to attend will result in removal from the program.

📣 Unable to Attend?

• If your athlete cannot attend due to unavoidable circumstances, please email office@calsportsacademy.com as soon as possible to arrange a make-up evaluation.
  Make-up evaluations must be completed before the official evaluation date to ensure team placement and league participation.

Team Shirts

Athletes will receive a team shirt that they will be required to wear each week! Failure to wear your team shirt will result in a technical foul awarded to the opposing team. Be sure to enter the correct shirt size on your athlete’s registration. If your shirt is lost, damaged, or the wrong size is ordered, the cost is $35 to order a replacement. Athletes are permitted to wear any color short/pant and must be wearing sneakers.

Volunteers

In order to help the League run smoothly and allow CAL Coaches to give their undivided attention to the athletes during games, we are asking for parent volunteers to assist with scorekeeping each week. If you are interested in assisting, be sure to answer YES on your registration form field under Available to Volunteer or, email office@calsportsacademy.com!
