Cordell Lord is an Alumni of North Penn High School who was also a student athlete. He is a current graduate of Immaculata University, now attending West Chester for his Masters.
Cordell continues to support his High School Alma Mater and created a scholarship that would be awarded yearly. The scholarship represents a student who has showed the 5 Pillars of CAL Sports Academy: Commitment, Determination, Motivation, Strength & Teamwork!
The scholarship award was given to a North Penn senior who attended NPHS for three or more years and is planning to continue their studies in accredited institution of higher education. He or she must also be a student athlete in Basketball or Track & field. After reviewing many young players applications, Alayna Faison was chosen to receive the Cordell Lord Alumni Athlete Award on behalf Cal Sports Academy.
Alayna Faison will be attending Penn State University Park in the College of Agricultural Sciences food Science department. While at NPHS, she completed 4 years of basketball and 3 years of Track & Field. Not only was she a student – athlete, Alayna was the 2019 Homecoming Queen while managing to excel in her studies! With these qualities Alayna was chosen to be recipient of the Cordell Lord Scholarship.
